Workers cleaning gravity casting machines should take personal protective measures and be familiar with various safety operating procedures. When taking castings from a pile of castings, they should be taken from top to bottom to avoid collapsing and injuring people. When flipping major castings, a crane should be used. When using a gravity casting machine, it is necessary to prevent lifting ropes or casting hands from being pressed. Do not lift the load, and do not hang the lifting ropes on the sprues of the castings.

When using a wind shovel, be careful to place it next to the casting before starting, and do not start it first and then bring it to the casting. When using, do not shovel at people to avoid flying debris injuring them. When not in use, close the valve on the air duct and stop supplying air to the air shovel. During sand cleaning, it is necessary to prevent residual sand sticking, flying edges, burrs, and sprues on castings from cutting hands and flying sand from damaging eyes.
